A conservation area consisting of a sand beach, dunes and a mangrove forest.
Salines de Montjoly is a former saltworks and protected area in the commune of Remire-Montjoly in French Guiana, France. It is located in the urban area on the Atlantic Ocean, and contains a multitude of biomes. The beach is used by sea turtles for nesting, the dune ridge contains desert vegetation, the wetlands are a refuge for migratory birds, and it contains the only publicly accessible mangrove forest of French Guiana.

Cayenne cathedral
Cayenne's cathedral is a major landmark, the seat of the Diocese of Cayenne and a National Monument of France.
A 19th-century fort, nowadays a Monument Historique (French National Heritage Site).
A park with high palm trees, lively in the nighttime.
Remains of a historic fort on a hilltop right on the west side of downtown Cayenne. Great views, and probably the best (only?) place to see the ocean and Cayenne River from downtown, as well as an overview of the city itself. Well lit into the evening.
