It is the oldest building in Roanne, built in the 11th century.
Minimes Church
Built by the Lyon diocesan architect Auguste Desjardins in 1864. Gothic in style from the 13th century, it is built in hard-grained limestone end enhanced with Volvic lava in places. It has a magnificent high altar, a sculpted altarpiece and statues like Notre-Dame-de-Pitié. It is also the largest and most beautiful of the churches in Roanne. The bell tower undertaken around 1884 contains the largest bell in the city (1,660 kg). In 1926, after losing the cross adorning its facade, an additional bell was added.
