Musée du Four des Casseaux
is a remarkable industrial heritage site, renowned for its role in the city’s porcelain production. Built in 1900, this large, round kiln—classified as a historic monument—is the last of its kind in France and once fired up cooks up to 15,000 porcelain pieces at a time. Its innovative “flamme renversée” (reversed flame) design reflects the technical advances of the era. Is open to visitors, offering a unique glimpse into Limoges’ porcelain-making tradition and the city’s industrial past.
