An annual Iskuräminen music event held in Kiuruvesi in July, which focuses on performers of traditional shock and dance music. During Iskelmeväki, Kiuruvesi also hosts a lot of side activities, such as the IskelmäMestari singing competition and dance courses, as well as smaller side events around the city.
