Qingyuan's annual Lantern Festival celebration featuring dragon and lion dances, lantern displays and other traditional festive activities. The 2026 Dragon and Lion Dance Lantern Festival Championship was held at Qingcheng Performance Plaza on 3 March, while additional lantern activities and a drone light show were held at Fengcheng Cultural Square.
飞来寺; Feilai Si
A historic Buddhist temple on the bank of the Beijiang River. The temple was founded in 520 and is one of Qingyuan's most important historic religious sites.
飞霞风景区; Feixia Scenic Area
A scenic area along the Beijiang River, with mountains, river scenery and historic religious sites.
南岗千年瑶寨; Nangang Yao Village
A historic Yao settlement with traditional buildings and cultural sites. The village is useful for visitors interested in Yao culture, traditional architecture and local history.
古龙峡; Gulongxia
A major outdoor attraction with a gorge, waterfalls, glass viewing platforms and rafting. The scenic area is a national 4A tourist attraction and a national sports tourism demonstration base.
黄腾峡; Huangtengxia
A mountain gorge known especially for rafting and other outdoor activities. The area also has cable cars, a mountain luge and a treetop walk.
石坑崆; Shikengkong Mountain
At 1,902 m, Shikengkong is the highest mountain in Guangdong and a major high-mountain destination in northern Qingyuan.
