This is the world's largest naturally formed image of Buddha. It is fully 70 m high. On the peak overlooking the Buddha mountain is the Maitreya Buddha temple and pagodas. The site was discovered in the mid-1990s. A stepped path leads up to the summit. A cable car runs part way up the mountain but not all the way.
