Ball's Falls are very impressive in the spring when water levels are high, less so in late summer. Guided tours of the remains of the nearby 19th-century industrial hamlet are available in the summer, and the conservation area also features hiking with access to the Bruce trail, plus cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.
Ball's Falls, also known as Balls Mills, Louthe Mills and Glen Elgin, is a historical ghost town located in what is now a part of Jordan in the Niagara region, Ontario, Canada, which dates back to the early 19th century. It is now preserved as a conservation area operated by the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.

The trail follows the Niagara Escarpment as it crosses the town from east to west. It connects several conservation areas, including Ball's Falls. The trail continues east to St. Catharines, and west to Grimsby passing waterfalls and vineyards along the way.
