This roughly 3.2-km-long bridge over the Rio Negro is quite an engineering marvel that is almost certain to catch your eye.
The Journalist Phelippe Daou Bridge is the fourth longest bridge in Brazil at 3,595 metres (11,795 ft) long, with a cable-stayed bridge section of 400 metres (1,300 ft), over the Rio Negro that links the city of Manaus with the small town of Iranduba in the state of Amazonas in Brazil. It spans the Rio Negro just before its confluence with the Amazon River, and is the only major bridge across the Amazon or any tributary in the Amazon basin. Its construction was marked by controversy over the potential effects of roadbuilding in the Amazon basin, which could lead to deforestation. A 2018 study found that the construction of this bridge did induce deforestation.

This zoo is run by the Brazilian army and features not only an impressive array of macaws, cats, and other species, but military vehicles too. It is probably a much more fulfilling zoological experience than the one at the Hotel Tropical.
Nice promenade along the Rio Negro from which to view the river or Manaus. A chance to see some old factories and also grab a sno cone or helado from a kiosk as you catch a glorious sunset on the Amazon.
LDS temple looking pretty temple-like.
Just a small museum with an array of relics about this region of the Amazon. In a pretty pink historical mansion. Limited hours.
Museu da Cidade de Manaus (Paço da Liberdade)
A relatively new showcase about the city, its people, and local foods and culture. The architectural exterior and interior of the building is quite opulent in itself, as is the Rio Branco Palace, which is the state assembly building, just to the south.
Athletic club basically with basketball courts, pool, and other sorts of recreational amenities.
