Itaúnas is a beach-side village in the municipality of Conceição da Barra, Brazil.

It has an exhibition center for visitors, video exhibition, and environmental education activities concerning sea turtles.
It is possible to ride from the beach up to Riacho Doce (Doce Stream). The ride lasts three hours on average.
The buggy ride is done on the sands of the beautiful Costa Dourada (Golden Coast) and Riacho Doce (Doce Stream) beaches. It lasts the whole day, stopping for lunch and for an afternoon snack.
On this you go up the Itaúnas River, up to the junction with the Angelim River. It lasts two hours on average.
It is inside of the Itaúnas State Park, and it is surrounded by the dunes that buried the old town in the 1960s. There are many stands at the seaside there.
It is a wild stream that is cut in its whole extension by brooks of dark waters. Beautiful coral formations can be seen.
It has high cliffs – over 8 meters (26 feet) in height – and corals, brooks, as well as mangrove vegetation.
By bus
It is necessary to go by bus to Conceição da Barra (29 km, 18.02 miles, from the park), and from there take a regular bus service to Itaúnas (several daily departures).
By car
Itaúnas is around 280 km from Vitória. Head north on the BR-101 highway, then take the ES-422 to Conceição da Barra (you will find it after passing over São Mateus).
