A former railway station, built in 1903, it was the main point of connection between Cachoeiro and the capital Vitória, Rio de Janeiro and other cities in the south of Espírito Santo and the Zona da Mata Mineira. The station ended its activities in the second half of 1996. The Domingos Lage Railway Museum, opened in 2007, tells, through photographic collections and materials, the history of the railway and its historical contribution to the development of the city. The site also provides space for cultural activities.
