A charming little Orthodox church built in mid-19th century.
The house in which Tadeusz Kosciuszko was born stood on that spot, and was rebuilt in its original form to house the museum. Kosciuszko was an 18th-century revolutionary, a participant of the US War of Independence, and later the leader of the failed 1794 uprising in Poland and Lithuania. Mount Kosciuszko in Australia, Kosciusko Island in Alaska, and Kosciusko County in Indiana are named after him.
