The church, established in 1809, is an attractive colonial style church built of brick with twin bell towers and several stained glass windows. The interior is relatively plain with white plaster walls and ceilings and a number of sculptures and paintings. This is the town's main church and the town's patron saint is also Santa Rita de Casia.
