The Cathedral together with the Cabildo which sits beside it forms the western side of San Martin Plaza. Built between the 16th and late 18th centuries in Latin American baroque style with interesting interior partly built by Native American craftsmen.
The Cathedral of Córdoba is the colonial cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Córdoba, Argentina, and the oldest church in continuous service in Argentina, and the oldest intact and functional colonial construction in Argentina. For these reasons it is a National Historic Monument.
